If you feel like you missed the opportunity to get a degree at university, perhaps you didn’t leave school with the right qualifications or had work or family commitments, then the Open University could be for you. You can achieve a fully recognised degree level qualification while having the flexibility to fit in around your work and home life. You generally won’t need to meet any qualification requirements but you may have a fair bit of extra work to get up to speed if you don’t hold relevant experience.
Any degree will require a lot of self discipline and this is particularly true of the OU, but if you’re self motivated and committed to the course you should be fine. There are around 600 courses available so there is plenty to choose from and there’s plenty of support so you won’t feel like you are studying alone. An Open University course is typically cheaper than regular university and undergraduates may be eligible for financial help.
