Work may have been very different for many people over the last 12 months and sadly lots of people have found themselves out of work due to the pandemic. As restrictions start to ease, you may be in a position to look for a new job. More companies are now looking to recruit staff again and try and recoup money hey have lost.
Just like when starting school your first day in a new job can be very nerve-racking. It can be a worrying time as you may not have gone through this sort of experience in a long time. You will probably be worried about a number of things such as arriving on time, whether you have taken on too much or whether you are going to get along with your work colleagues or it may be that you are worried that the job is not going to be challenging enough for you. These are all common things that people think when starting a new job.
You need to think through each point that you are worried about and try and come up with a way to over come it. For example, if you are worried about being late then why not plan your route a few days before. Ven time yourself traveling at the same time of day that you would be to find out how long it is likely to take. Make sure you set off early as you can always wait in the car if you get their too early.
Decide in advance what you are going to wear on the day and make sure that it is clean and ready to wear. Be sure to introduce yourself to your work colleges and try and make a good first impression.
